for Immediate Public Ignorance Attempting to exploit the Press Release system to gain attention to sooth a sore disposition, %20 releases the following: Press Release #1 ------------------------ %20 THINKS FINANCIAL RESPONSABILITY & COPY RIGHT REFORM ARE IT PRESS RELEASE After listening to the success of the other Jay-Z remix albums (Black Print Album, Brown Album, Grey Album, Black & Tan Album, SNICKA, Amiri, Illmind, Red Album, Black Jay Album) %20, Thee Corporate Shill, is attempting to elevate its career has subsequently teamed up with Jay-Z and Nokia phone to support Financial Responsability and Copyright Reform with the mainstream danc-vert "The Phone Album"'s main track "P.S.A." (Phone Service Attachment). %20 is attempting to "Think Black" and thus reuse Jay-Z's Nokia Sponsored "Black Ass" as a cultural promotional tool, as suggested in the "Black Album" lyrical flow. "Technology now provides us with the opportunity to %20take%20 music in new ways. The Black Phone is at the forefront of the future which includes %20taking%20 and then selling music instantly and the user can take it with them wherever you go," said Jay-Z as channeled through %20. "Teaming with Nokia to develop the Black Phone provides me with a deeper connection to my fans %20with a ton of cash to pay the fees%20 through my music and mobile messaging. %20 By allowing them to create and me to reap the rewards, through the abusive misuse of copyright." "The Black Phone bridges the music and lifestyle preferences of our trend-conscious* customers. This is an innovative beginning to how Musicland will build relationships with our customers on the go," Musicland CEO Eric Weisman said. %20 All other customers will be ignored. (* trend-conscious customer is an exclusionary term, signifing that businesses only want to sell to people who buy) http://noneinc.com/sound/%20&Jay-Z&Nokia&Remixers-The_Phone_Album-PSA.mp3 Lyrics to "Phone Service Attachment" Phone Service Attachment Sorry to bother you, but i have some thoughts i would like to share with you. All these mixes are fun to listen to, but would it bother you if these remixes were to be controlled by a company which did not create them? It seems that Roc-a-Fella records released the vocals and now the Record Business Companies will attempt to control these remixes for their own profit without the consent of the creators. How this happens is because the ideas of copyright have been distorted in the United States. Copyright was originally 7 years, it is now life of the creator +20 years, effectively eliminating the idea of Public Domain. And record companies have laws in the books which allow them to seize these remixes and consider them part of their own record library. effectively cutting out the creator, ironic isn't it. the copyright system was supposed to protect the creator, but in this case the opposite is happening. Also i would like to mention to you the idea of fiscial responsability. Jay-Z claims to be connecting with his peoples, yet at the same time he is inking deals which will release his future music through a $125 phone. This is the Nokia Black Phone. How many people can afford a $125 phone. Now there is nothing wrong with what he is doing. Just like there is nothing wrong with all the charities his record label gives money to. But there is a difference between how these charities spend their money. One charity gives 7 dollars for every 10 dollars. Other charities give 1 dollar for every 100. Why this happens is that these people feel that they need big publicity (ie parties or award shows) to draw in people with money. So to get 1 dollar they need to spend 99. You see these big parties on the news and entertainment shows. I find them appauling. Yes charities need money to run, but at a certain point it becomes grotesque and ego serving. By now your bored. But that's not my concern, another issue i'm asking you to think about it is the following. Rap has a history of sampling and reuse. Heck Jay-Z's lines often reference old rappers. Now what is the difference between reusing old lines and beats and the work of someone like DJ Danger Mouse who reused to make new? DJ Danger Mouse recently received a Ceast and Desist letter from the owners of the rights to US distribution for Beatles music. DJ Danger Mouse has said he will not bring the case to court to see if a judge and jury will decide if his work is considered Fair Use. This is often how it plays out, large corporations go through the motions which effectively, in most cases, forces the creator to stop distributing their new work out of fear of prosecution, whose costs are no longer in the reach of the average person. This is called the Chilling Effect. In this case though where is Jay-Z. He's got a big record label, a big money deal with Nokia phone and yet he's not helping DJ Danger Mouse protect his own work. Maybe that's partly because in a few months, EMI and Roc-A-Fella records will own (according to some existing laws) all the remix albums the Grey Album, the Brown Album, the Black Jays album, the White album, the Black is Back album, the Black & Tan album, the Red Album, the Amiri version, the Illmind version and what ever else they track down etc, which they will most likely redistribute as something special on the next Black Phone. If you choose to pay for them that is your business. thanks for taking time to listen. %20 "What More Can Justify This Moment of Thug Problem Clarity" i told you niggers nine ten time stop phucking with me this is the unusual music i conducting the music i be making i've given you volume after volume of my verse these words aint' peered to go in one ear out the other, no yo words is all i have what you going to do to me nigger now they about to free me up what you think i'm gonna be what rehabilitated man i still feel hatred i'm young black and rich so they wanna stripe me naked but damn that man's --music-- is just like my --music-- don't be acting like you can't see street action no that for every action there a reaction just the unwritten laws in rap i'm from the hood stupid phuck perception go with what makes scense what type of facts are those it wasn't all your fault homey you got caught i've got a few dollars i can fight this case so i they critise me yet they all yell hollar i'm like phuck critics you can kiss my whole ass hole if you don't like my lyrics you can press ffwd i got beef with ---muther phuckin law--- we as rappers must decide what's impotent we as rappers must decide what's impotent we as people must decide what's impotent Nokia yeah Press Release #2 ------------------------ DJ Penfold (AKA %20 an 399) + DJ Danger Mouse (Grey Album [Jay Z's 'Black Album' VS Beatle's 'White Album']) http://noneinc.com/sound/DJPenfold+DJDangerMouse-WMCIS(OverlyYellow).mp3 Title: What More Can I Say (Over Compensating Yellow Mix) AKA (Forget the Hispanic Sweeds Mix) To promote the idea that sometimes colors, races, peoples like to manipulate culture to suit their background. These reinterpretations can be exclusionary. After listening to the ever expanding contributions to culture which have remixed the "Black Album" it was partly clear that the color signification of race played a center piece into the titling. And it turned out that the cross pollination of one of the US's culture wars (conflict with it's birth mother and race too) became the focal point of the media attention. Rightly so it's charged and full of debatable ideas. That's what makes the Grey Album a piece which goes beyond the traditional A+B formulae and transends as a piece of work. But racially speaking White + Black doesn't begin to cover the multi-cultural pot which is the world. So continuing with the tradition, DJ Penfold decided to make a version for his kind. Unfortuantely he has no kind which is definable as a color for %20 is mixed up and like the debate on affirmative action, the semi-agreed concern is that no longer should attention be brought on by your color but by the needs of the individual in question. Yet there are various remixes with colored backgrounds, people have pride in their heritage good for them. But what about the phuckin mix, well that's a blend of all the distorted world views DJ Penfold/%20 have come across. After enjoying hearing wonderfully delightful statements like "your a spic", "i'm more comfortable with my own race, no not koreans" and "I thought you we're jewish, your not, well then nevermind". anyhoo the remix is my distorted world view heritage vantage point at this moment. please drop a line to inform me i'm a racist. Professor Griff. A pianist loves to play the piano A floutist loves to play the flute a racist loves their race. welcome to the twisted world, and yet another me problem. Also in the mix, DJ Penfold investigates some of the lyrics, questioning their pertinence and general oh who phucking cares.
