guards in the museum; Kroenen is first seen wearing a mask that features
mainly the eyes and mouth grill and is later discovered to be more machine
than man; The scene with Abe Sapien (Jones) recovering has him suspended in a
vertical tank, like the Bacta tank on Hoth. (Thanks
to John at Obroa-Skai for this reference!)
Hell Comes to Frogtown
(1987) -
When they (film's
characters) enter Frogtown, the first place they head to is a bar, which
reminds one of the cantina scene in ANH, especially the Sand People
look-a-likes.
Hercules (1997)
-
[1] Animation. Hercules (Donovan) is looking for Philoctetes (De Vito)

House<House: Ding Dong
Your Dead> (1986) -Watch
the movie and tell us what the reference is!
House Arrest
(1998?) - Obi-Wan Kenobi is mentioned.
How to Deal (2003) -
Within the context if the film, the male lead opposite Mandy Moore tries to
use a Jedi mind trick on Moore's character, to get her to go out on a date
with him ... telling her "that is how it is done in Star Wars".
Also, once the audience sees a montage of the characters dating, we see they
are coming out of an all night Star Wars marathon at their local theater.
Pretty interesting to see yet another SW reference out there in cinema. (thanks
to Plo_by_Plo for this reference!)
How to be a Player
(1997) - Line: 'Man, he's like a

Britain. [1]
The character 'Moff' (Dyer) is a Star Wars freak (wears a Star Wars t-shirt)
[2]There
is an R2D2 stand-up and a life sized Yoda in his room among other things. Quotes include [3]
'We spend nine hours a day, five days a
week having to act like C-3PO' [4]
in referring to Yoda wanting to explore innerspace and the Emperor wanting to
control outer space as, '...being the fundamental difference between the
good and the bad sides of the Force.' [5]
two characters talking about Star Wars say
that one could hide a bong in R2D2's lightsaber socket and that Han Solo was
really a cannabis smuggler.
Hyperspace (1984) -
Watch the movie and tell
us what the reference is!
Hyper Space (1989) -
A quote from
the composer of the score of this film (Don Davis - who scored The Matrix) : I also scored a film called
Hyper Space, which I got through some friends of mine I knew from the film
department at UCLA; we scored that with a 52-piece orchestra. It (the film)
was kind of a Star Wars and War of the Worlds knock off.
I
I Am David (2003) -
Use of the Wilhelm Scream
I Heart Huckabees (2004) - Vauban (Huppert) seems
to seduce (literally) Albert (Schwartzman) to the darkside of the two
theories. Tommy (Whalberg) is explaining Vauban's theory to Albert he
tells alber to feel, "La Force!" Albert replies, "The
Force?" Tommy says it again in French to differentiate.
Incredibles, The (2004) -
[1] Dash's scene on the
island amongst the trees and greenery is very reminiscent to that of the bike
chase on the forest moon of Endor in Return of the Jedi [2]
The killer droid is named Omnidroid 9000 (from
Star Wars Galaxies - "The term OMNIDROID used by permission of Lucasfilm
Ltd" is in the end credits) [3]
When Omnidroid first rolls after Mr. Incredible
it's a little like the huge stone boulder rolling after Indy in Raiders of the
Lost Ark. [4] When
Syndrome is flipping through news channels to get the latest, the first
channel he hits is News Channel 3 and the next...11, a scene later and the
channel is 8. 1138. [5] As
ElastiGirl/Helen Parr (Hunter) is flying the jet to Syndrome's island,
and he sends missiles to bring it down, she frantically relays a plea for them
to stop. Her call sign is "India Golf Niner Niner"
(IG-99) which is very close to IG-88. (Thanks
to General Tarrful!) *Note: I read somewhere that
IG99 is in reference to Brad Bird's Iron Giant which was released in
1999....IG99.
Independence Day
(1996)
- [1] the top
of the satellite shown in the opening scenes looks like the Death Star. [2]
When the TV stations are trying to find a signal the interference sounds like
Darth Vader's breathing. [3]
the US/Alien jet fight through the Grand Canyon is very similar to that of the
trench of the Death Star scene. [4]
As the President (Pullman) and Dr. Okun (Spiner)
come through the door (Area 51) leading to where the alien craft is being
held/observed, you can see the writing on either side of the doorway (a large
entrance), "R" and "2" , the "R" to the
left and the "2" to the right (R2 D2) [5]
When the alien craft is released from the
platform in Area 51, it hovers. The last shot shows what appears to be a
likeness of Darth Vader, at least the top half of him. [6]
Inner alien mother ship
looks exactly like the second Death Star's main reactor.
Indiana Jed (1992) (V) -
Theme from Raiders of the Lost Ark used.
[4] Inner alien mother ship looks exactly like
the second Death Star's main reactor.
Indiana Jones and
the Temple of Doom (1984) -
[1]
Lucas is an extra
[2] the club
where Indy (Ford), Lao Che (Chiao), Willie (Capshaw) have their 'discussion'
about Nurhachi and the diamond, is called 'Club Obi-Wan' [3]
Use of the Wilhelm Scream [4] If
you listen to the Lao Che Air Freight failing engines you will find that it is
the very same sound as the Millennium Falcon's failing engines in A New Hope.
Indiana Jones and
the Last Crusade (1989) -
[1]
R2D2
and C3PO make another 'appearance', this time on a wall in the sacred 'cave'
where the Holy Grail is held. [2] I'm
told that there are two instances where you can hear the Imperial March music
playing...once in Donovan's office/den and another on the Zeppelin.
Anyone who has the newest releases let me know.
[3] Use of the Wilhelm Scream
Indian in the
Cupboard, The (1995) -
Omri (Scardino)

J
Jagged Edge, The

Marquand- also directed this
movie)

[1]
Chaka (Rock), "Lucas gonna sue
somebody!" [2] C**k

Fisher cameo, [4] A
'One-Wampa' who makes a post on the website 'The Poopshoot' [5]
The Security guard at Miramax 'Gordon'
(Bader) get in touch with 'Echo Base' on his walkie-talkie. [6]
Bluntman (Smith) uses the Force to get a
'bongsaber'
to come to him [7] Bluntman's
saber is just like Darth Mauls...a double [8]
The title is that of TESB
[9] Comic
book on shelf in comic store is Star Wars: Search For Aurra Sing. (Thanks
to Sander for the comic reference and for all the screen shots)
[10] "Jay said you guys had a Star Wars

imagine this flick may be the worst idea after Greedo shooting first"

a film clip) A soldier is wearing a gas mask, and in a raspy voice, says,
"Come over to the dark side". (Thanks
to Dark_Load for this reference!)
Jersey Girl (2004) - (It wouldn't be a Kevin Smith
movie without a reference!) Ollie Trinke (Affleck)
is giving his daughter, Gertie (Castro), a ride. After she buckles up
Gertie tells her father, "Punch it, Chewie!"
Jet Benny Show, The (1986) - A
Star Wars/Flash Gordon/Buck Rogers/Jack Benny show spoof.
![]()
Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (2001) - [1]
The trailer has a reference to Darth Vader
as I recall. [2]
Goobot's world is very similar to Coruscant.
Joey <aka
Making Contact>(1985) -
[1]
In the German cut, Emmerich fills Joey's world with a nearly endless supply of
Star Wars toys - many of which come to supernatural life and fly around the
house - and Darth Vader himself even appears to threaten one of the bullies.
(Hell, there are less Star Wars references in the actual Star Wars movies!) In
the American cut, these scenes are drastically cut, and the kid's declaration
that he saw "Doff Wader" is replaced with the words "My
Hero." [2]
Joey's father
(who's dead) calls him on his toy phone. Joey's (Morrell) toys come
alive...he opens his bedroom door and Millennium Falcon and a TIE fighter fly
out of the room.
Judge Dredd (1995) -
Watch the movie and tell us what the reference is!
Just Married

Sarah (Brittany), is crying because her childhood fantasy of getting married
was over and she then asks her husband, Tom (Ashton), if as a little boy he
ever fantasized about getting married? He answer's yes and the Star Wars theme
starts to play and he flashes back to when he was little fighting with
lightsabers at the playground.
